This website is dedicated to the
thousands of volunteers around the world who volunteer their own
personal time and money to help animals in need.
It is our belief that education
is the key to improving the relationship that humans have with the
animals we share this planet with.
We want to assist these
groups by helping to inform people of their existence and the work that
they do. We are also pleased to provide another means of fund
raising.
Natasha Down
(Founding Member)
Natasha always knew she wanted to work with animals, even from a
very young age. While attending high school in Newmarket, Ontario,
she worked at the OSPCA to help and be closer to animals. She went on
to study Veterinary Technology and graduated as a Registered Veterinary
Technologist. Friends and family have always looked to her for pet
related advice. Natasha's desire to help more people and their
pets led her to create InfoPet.ca in July 2000. This website helps
people in central Ontario with pet related issues ranging from lost and
found pets, veterinarian listings, events and message boards to discuss
pet issues with others. Her goal in life is to help educate people, one
at a time, on the responsibilities of pet companionship, the importance
of spaying and neutering and the ultimate end of puppy mills.
Robert Goddard
(Founding Member)
Rob has grown up with many different pets and has a great deal of
respect and love for all animals. He started his own software
development company in 1993 located in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
He has volunteered for many organizations
over the past 20 years and recently became involved helping animal
rescue groups. There are very few
people who are not appalled by the conditions in puppy mills and yet
people still buy puppies that come from mills. Rob feels strongly
that education is the only way to solve this problem. Rescues are
struggling to meet the financial needs of their rescues and educational
programs. It's time they got some help.
